The city,
in your taste*

Not the best of anywhere. The rooms worth getting dressed for, the coffee you'd walk twenty minutes to, the dinner that turns into drinks.

A travel curator for people who already have an eye. Show it what you love and it writes the city back to you.

01The idea

Every travel app asks where you're going. None of them ask who you are. So they all answer the same question — what is popular — and popular stopped meaning good a while ago.

It works for the city you live in as well as the one you're flying to — one day, your own town, and it finds the parts you haven't got to yet.

This one starts from your taste. The pins you save, the words you'd use, three places you already love anywhere in the world. It reads what they have in common and builds a city around that. Two people can type Tokyo an hour apart and get completely different cities. That's the point.

02How it works
01

Show it your eye

Up to four pins, or pick the words, or just name three places you love.

02

Name anywhere

A city, a country, a coastline. If it's broad, it chooses for you and says why.

03

Read it back

One to seven days, written like a private magazine. Change any line by asking.

03What it does
Reads picturesUpload your pins and it works from the light, the palette, the kind of rooms and tables in them — not only the words you typed.Live
Local, not EuropeanYour words are read through the local culture. Chic in Bangkok isn't chic in Paris, and it knows the difference.Live
Walkable daysEach day sits in one neighbourhood and flows in a real order. No zigzagging across a city you don't know yet.Live
Checked openPlaces are verified against live listings, so anything closed for good is dropped before you ever see it.Soon
The codesCash only, shoes off, closed Mondays, when the city actually eats. The part that makes you look like you've been before.Live
Stays in budgetTwo rooms that genuinely fit what you set, matched to the mood of your pins. Never above it.Live
Change one line"Swap the bar for something quieter." "Add pilates each morning." It rewrites that part and leaves the rest alone.Live
Take it with youEvery place taps through to maps. Keep a guide and it's waiting when you land, or save it as a PDF and send it on.Live
Your own city tooNot only for trips. Put in one day and the city you live in, and it finds the corners of it you haven't got to yet.Live
A taste that remembersYour second city is better than your first, because it knows what you kept and what you swapped out.Soon
Guides togetherTwo people, two sets of taste, one trip that works for both — and an honest line about where you'd rather split up.Soon
ShareableSend a live guide rather than a screenshot, so whoever you're travelling with is looking at the same thing.Soon
04Who it's for

People who'd rather be the only ones in the room than in the right room with everyone else.

Creatives who travel for the looking, not the list.
Anyone who plans a trip around a shop, a building or a table.
The friend everyone texts before they book.
People who leave the famous place off on purpose.

If you've ever walked twenty minutes past a queue to sit somewhere quieter, it was built for you.

05Where the picks come from

Nobody pays to be in here. No restaurant, no hotel, no tourism board. The cities we know best are written from the ground — the places friends actually send each other — and everything else is built to that standard.

Each month a few cities are chosen for right now, and anything that just opened worth knowing about is added as it does.

The letter

Once a month: the cities worth the flight and what just opened worth knowing about. Nothing else.

Somewhere in mind?

Tell it what you already love. It takes about a minute.
